The Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), one of the most relevant educational and research centers in southern Europe, launches a scholarship for students to take the Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings & Biocities (MAEBB) in the academic year 2021-22 . In this way, the institution reinforces its commitment to supporting young architects in their effort to study to effectively contribute to a better future.
The Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Biocities (MAEBB) is developed in Valldaura Labs, in the Collserola Park, in an immersive format that each year expands the community of students and teachers who learn to develop ecological projects using advanced tools, including topics such as building design, forest management, wood production, structure fabrication, energy and food production. Likewise, at the end of the course, students design and manufacture a full-scale prototype using local resources, such as the 2019 Tiny house or the 2020 Quarantine Cabin.
The Ángel Gijón scholarship for Spanish students covers 100% of the Master's enrollment costs valued at € 15,400. The deadline to apply for the scholarships is June 15, 2021 and the results will be announced on June 30, 2021.
